The refrigerant piping interconnection process consists of: stretching the piping the desired way, flanging the pipes and connecting the units using flange nuts. In some cases, the union is made by welding, for this it is necessary to prepare the ends by widening them to serve as gloves.
In the pipe stretching process, avoid abrupt angles and thus reduce pressure losses. Use a pipe cutter to cut copper pipes. Carefully remove burrs from the pipes, preventing particles from entering the pipe. Use a flange compatible with the pipe gauge. The flange must be smooth and uniform, completely filling the connection to avoid leaks. If it is necessary to weld the pipes, maintain a small flow of nitrogen no more than 2 PSI in the line throughout the process.
