1) Check that the refrigerant and electrical connections are correct
2) Check that no foreign bodies or tools are on or under the equipment
3) Check the connections for possible leaks
4) Check that the lines are well insulated
5) Check that the passages through the piping structures are well sealed
6) Check that the water drains are free
7) Free and unobstructed supply and return grilles
8) Air filters are installed and clean
9) Check with a calibrated thermometer that the thermostat is accurate.
10) Check the ground
11) Check supply voltage, fuse / circuit breaker amp ratings
12) Check if the wires are compatible with the electrical load
13) Check that the electrical connections are tight
14) Check that the refrigerant gas pipes do not touch the electrical wiring
15) Check that the remote control batteries are charged
