What is heat?

It is a form of energy that can be transferred from one body to another as a result of a temperature difference between them.

THE HEAT CAN BE:
• Specific - is the body's own heat.
• Sensitive - varies its temperature but does not change the physical state.
• Latent - changes the physical state without changing the temperature, (constant temperature).

Heat transmission can occur through three different processes:
• Driving; It is a process by which heat flows from one region to another through direct physical contact with the particles in the medium that separates them.
• Convection; It is the process of heat transmission in which thermal energy passes from one place to another through particles existing between them.
• Radiation; It is the process of transmitting heat through electromagnetic waves (heat waves).
