When the sealing rubber of a refrigerator is cracked or hardened, the seal becomes compromised and the efficiency of the appliance drops appreciably. To test the refrigerator seal and check for leaks, place a paper between the door seal and the door stopper, then close the door. Pull out the paper.
If it does offer some resistance it is because the seal is good. If the paper exits
or fall, the seal is faulty and should be replaced. Take this test in several places in the door. Before replacing the gasket, check the door hinges for leaks.
