Standard absorption system
The absorption system has 4 main components: damper, generator, condenser and evaporator. As accessories there is a pump and expansion valves. Coolant NH3 enters the evaporator and draws heat from the internal medium from the liquid to the vapor state. This is absorbed by the absorber through a liquid solution of NH3 + H2O. This solution is pumped to the generator. The addition of heat separates the NH3 (which follows to the condenser in the form of vapor) from the H2O which returns to the absorber. NH3 releases heat to the outside in the condenser and passes to the liquid state entering the evaporator where it restarts the process.
