It is a device used to measure (relative) gauge pressures. Therefore, the pressure recorded by this instrument is known as gauge pressure.
Manifold Set
When it is desired to measure pressure in cooling systems in maintenance operations an instrument called Manifold Assembly is used.
This instrument consists of two manometers that have different ranges and correspond respectively to a low pressure manometer and a high pressure manometer connected to a "barrel". This "barrel" is connected to the systems through special hoses and has manual opening and closing registers that allows passage control over the system fluid.
