Fan-Coil / Chiller System

A fan-coil Chiller system uses an intermediate fluid (ice water mixed with ethylene glycol) to air-condition the surroundings. The water is chilled in the chiller located in an engine room. The cold water is circulated by cold water pumps. In the chiller, condensation of the refrigerant is usually accomplished through the use of water circulating through a cooling tower (or uses air condensation for lesser capacities). The fan coils receive the ice water at approximately 7 ° C and return it to about 12 ° C for the chiller.
