When the cooling system which uses capillary tube is switched off, the pressure in the entire system tends to equalize as the capillary tube does not block the passage of refrigerant between the condenser (high pressure side) and the evaporator (low pressure side ). This causes, when the system is restarted, the compressor will experience a pressure condition almost identical between suction and discharge. This compressor requires a low starting torque and therefore less powerful electric motors, smaller, lighter and more economical.
